Middle-order batsman Chamara Silva came-up with a magnificent and rare performance when he became the first batsmen to score 1000 runs in this year’s Premier League Tournament. Silva reached the milestone when scoring 86 runs in his team’s match against Moors SC played at Reid Avenue on Friday. Playing in nine matches, Silva has scored 1035 runs averaging 79.61 per innings. Silva’s highest score was 216 runs made against SSC. Only two players have passed 1000 runs in the recent Premier League history.
