Nishantha Ranatunga in Carlton Network netted with Yoshitha Rajapaksa

UPDATE : The five suspects including former President’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa have been remanded till 11 February, after being presented before the Kaduwela Magistrate by the police. Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, Shiranthi Rajapaksa, former Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa attended the court proceedings at the Kaduwela Magistrate Court.  Navy officer Yoshitha Rajapaksa, Chairman of the Carlton Sports Network Rohan Weliwita, Nishantha Ranathnga, Ravishan Dissanayake and R.M. Fernando were arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) and produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate this afternoon.   The five were arrested in connection with the investigation into the alleged financial irregularities at the Carlton Sports Network.

This morning, the Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) questioned the second son of the former President, Yoshitha Rajapaksa at the Navy Headquarters regarding the reported financial irregularities.
